A 360-Degree Event Planning and Communication Triumph
The Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) is an annual event held in Kolkata, India, celebrating cinema from around the world. Established in 1995, it has grown to become one of the most prestigious film festivals in Asia. KIFF aims to showcase the diversity and richness of global cinema while also promoting regional and independent filmmaking.
After the massive success of the 28th KIFF in 2022, it earned immense love from the audience, and the expectations soared. This time, the primary challenge for Genesis Advertising was to go the extra mile and surpass the brilliance of last year.
The 29th Kolkata International Film Festival in 2023 came up with a captivating concept, created by Genesis Advertising. Our team introduced iconic characters from world cinema at spectacular locations in Kolkata to present the theme of the year – WORLD CINEMA’S BENGAL EXPEDITION.
These visuals were widely used for outdoor branding, venue installations, hoardings, and gantries. Commercial transports like AC Buses and Underground Metro Trains were also branded with the same.
To create the visuals, our team integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) to add a different dimension to the creative renditions. For the first time in the history of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), Artificial Intelligence was applied to create visuals.
The 7-day long film festival was organised across multiple venues in Kolkata, with the solemn initiative of the Honourable Chief Minister MAMATA BANERJEE. The iconic Bollywood star Mr. Salman Khan was invited as a special guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Kolkata International Film Festival 2023.
We incorporated a comprehensive website management system to streamline the process of KIFF 2023. This included online film submission, film selection, submission categories, movie scheduling, jury management, and so on. Team Genesis introduced a centralised Content Management System (CMS) which facilitated seamless coordination and organisation, enhancing the overall efficiency of the event.
To extend the festival’s reach beyond physical attendees, the inauguration ceremony of KIFF 2023 was live-streamed on social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube. This facilitated the global audience to have a virtual tour of the event.
The Genesis team successfully managed the entire event for seven days, overseeing various aspects to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for attendees. This included venue branding at Nandan and other locations across the city, meticulous arrangements for the grand inauguration and closing events, and the coordination of photography and videography teams to capture the essence of each moment.
The campaign of KIFF 2023 by Genesis Advertising added a new feather to the cap of our entire team. The campaign received lakhs of impressions on Meta, with total impressions of more than 14.20 Lakhs. Thousands of new followers were generated on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram with total video views of more than 5.6 Lakhs.
