Make in Odisha 2018
The challenge
After a successful conclave in 2017, The Odisha Government wanted to organise the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018 in the best way possible. The challenge was to better each and every aspect of the previous year’s event and show Odisha in the best light. They were looking for a team who would ably stage this event of huge magnitude. After a series of pitches from various agencies, they zeroed in on one - us.
our initial research, we unanimously deduced that it would be wise to take the tech route to give the conclave the big scale it deserves. Making technology our fulcrum we staged one of the biggest conclaves that the people of Odisha have ever witnessed. Our team, comprising of nearly 1100 professionals who were directly and indirectly involved in the project, worked relentlessly to make the summit a success.
For the first time in the country’s history of business summits a Geodesic Dome was used as the central attraction. The entire 15000 sq. mt. area was used intelligently for various exhibitions where we integrated Augmented and Virtual Reality experiences. We also brought a Kinetic Installation from UK through which we showcased content specific to MIO through spherical LED balls. The entire logistics was a herculean task, which we shouldered with passion and dedication.
The conclave tasted the sweet taste of success. Make in Odisha 2018 attracted participation of over 2000 delegates from India and 15 countries. Rs. 1,73,468 crores of business announcements, business document exchanges, expressions of interest and investment proposals were received. Our efforts to stage the gargantuan gala were recognised by one and all, which reinforced our belief in hard work, innovation and perseverance.
